@MrsADS: yah, I wasn't entirely convinced it would work so I bought the cheapest one with good reviews! Mine was $15 when I bought it over a year ago.

Ahh, thanks everyone. Good suggestions. I have had some preterm labor issues, so I don't know how much of my cramping/pressure is from my contractions, or from just general baby positioning. I think if it's more from the contractions, the support belt isn't going to help anything. Maybe if I can find a cheap one I will give it a try!

Yes!!! It made such a difference. I have chronic hip pain that's exacerbated during pregnancy. Some days I could barely walk. A belt helped SO much. I only wished I purchased one earlier.

I used this one: It's You Babe Mini Cradle, Small (136-180 Pounds) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000I615Q4/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_sy3Dvb0D92EST

I know the Gabriella one is popular too.

I used a maternity support belt when jogging during the second and third trimesters (so not exactly used for the same purpose). It felt like a sports bra for my tummy and gave me a little bit of a lift and kept things from moving around too much. It's not cheap but this is the one I had and I was pretty happy with it: http://www.mombodfitness.com/store/p3/Maternity_FITsplint%E2%84%A2.html.

I bought one at BRU that works pretty well. It is BRU brand! I used it twice last week but I didn't use the top strap.

I used this one: http://www.motherhood.com/mobile/Product.asp?Product_Id=976100113&MasterCategory_Id=MC32
I liked it but I had to take it off every few hours because I got sore from the pressure it put on the underside of my bump. When it was on, I had a lot of relief for my back but when I took it off, it was relief for my front! I do think it was worth getting, though.

I was in the same boat. It seemed to come on suddenly and I was miserable and completely in pain by the end of the day. I got this one.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009LA4VOG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1433878941&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SY200_QL40&keywords=pregnancy+support+belt&dpPl=1&dpID=41XEX6%2BoKfL&ref=plSrch

It has improved everything significantly and I feel like a normal person again. I also started doing some inversion yoga poses to help. While the belt isn't perfect it is a good price and it is doing the job!

I am having so much pelvic pressure/pain/cramping and some back pain at 29 wks. The baby is really low, his head is way down against my cervix. My OB recommended some kind of maternity support belt.

I am a little overwhelmed from looking on Amazon! Some of them look like pretty intense contraptions. And some sort of look like they might not really do that much.

Does anyone have any recommendations, or types that didn't work? Is the whole thing a waste of money or does it really help?
