It's too early for me to give you advice as I'm not showing yet, but I just wanted to commiserate because we have the same exact body type and it just isn't pregnancy friendly, haha. I have always felt that my flat stomach and tiny waist were my best features, so I'm anticipating just turning into a blob once my tummy gets big like my butt! I hope you find something that works for you!! Good luck :)

Awww. Hugs to your Kim K fear! I think she has been finally starting to get some better choices on her preggo style. But I think Kourtney has a really curvy figure and really short too, but looked fab in her preggo styles! Maybe look to her for some inspiration? On phone now or I'd share some links.

I'm on the petite side, but am also short, and large chested. Since spring, I've been partial to maxi dresses, and flowy, maxi skirts. I was surprised they flatter my stature and shape, since I always assumed they were made for very slender, tall women. I tend to belt maxi dresses, which makes my belly pop, and the rest of me look pretty slim. I don't like how shorter dresses ride up in the middle, from the belly.

I just saw a girl (not pregnant) in a fitted shirt and long, fold over waist maxi skirt and it looked so cute and I though, THAT'S what I should try... turns out you all figured it out first.

Yes, ASOS can solve all your problems. I have big boobs and carried high, so I had no pregnancy waist, and some of their dresses were fantastic on me. Let me find a good example:

Sounds like something like that might suit you too.

I had big boobs and a small waist pre-pregnancy and fitted tops with a maxi skirt look best on me... Now that my belly is so big
I get a blob effect if I try to wear something floaty. I have some really pretty ones from Asos!

What about a maxi skirt with a fitted tank? I rarely see maxi dresses on women that look GREAT on them. I think the flown skirt looks best with a more fitted top

Some maxi dresses me me look really funny too given my short torso, short height and curvy stature. I've opted for shorter dresses (knee length) and tanks with skirts or jean capris. It helps to make me look more normal. I would try your best to replicate pre-pregnancy outfits in pregnancy clothes if that makes sense..and I do buy a lot in bigger sizes vs maternity. That helps too.

I actually have a totally different shape than you (pre- preg, kind of straight, smallish boobs but tend to gain weight in my middle, and taller than average) and I've tried on a few maxi dresses that just make me look HUGE. Like, I think I look ready to pop as soon as I put them on. I don't understand because I see other people in them pregnant and they look so cute. So, I don't have any specific advice, but wanted you to know it's not only your shape that the lovely maxi dresses don't flatter. I've tried maternity and regular. I think I need to try a lot more on-- not ready to give up, but sheesh.

So with a bump that now seems to be growing at an alarming rate (I'm almost 20wks) and finally signs that warmer weather might be on its way I headed into the city today to look for suitable clothes to get me through the summer. As much as I'd like to, I don't think I can get away with maternity jeans for all occasions. In my head I had visions of pretty, floaty maxi dresses...

...only problem is I am on the shorter side of average, with larger than average boobs and bum. Over the years I've learnt how best to flatter my hour glass shape, except now I don't have that tiny waistline so my whole torso now looks so big and frumpy in a dress :(

After walking around for hours and checking out pretty much every store there is, I had a bit of a breakdown blurting out something like "I DON'T WANT TO LOOK LIKE KIM KARDASHIAN" to DH through my sobs.

Any tips from mamas with a similar shape on how to best dress my bump?
