@ladyfingers: Like PP's have said anything with a drawstring. I'm fairly petite and I went for L/XL pants. They were a little big but I totally appreciated the extra room! Get the nursing tanks bigger than you think you'll need, not so much for the belly size but because your rib cage won't go back down as fast as you want it to and they can get really tight.

A cardigan like this over a nursing tank will be perfect, it's soft, comfy and no zipper that would be hard on your LO when they snuggle up to you:
http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=69680&vid=1&pid=373720002

Or something like this:
http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=69680&vid=1&pid=627048072

I honestly just wanted something to cover my nips b/c I was nipping out all the time LOL! :)

Also, strange/TMI tip, but I highly suggest black pants. May not be the cutest thing, but you bleed. A lot. Whether you have a c-section or natural birth there's a lot going on down there and there's just about nothing more embarrassing than standing up in front of guests with blood staining your cute new pj pants.
(as an aside: for the first week home, I highly suggest using one of the wed pads over your sheet on the bed, just in case you leak out of your pad, that way you don't ruin your sheets! I did this and it came in handy. I just tossed it once I was done.) Sorry for the TMI, hope that info helps tho!!! http://www.walmart.com/ip/Waterproof-Portable-Crib-Pads-2-Pack/5446849

@ladyfingers: I'm pretty sure I have those pants in non maternity and they are seriously the most comfortable things every. Like, come home from a crappy day when it's raining and you have no umbrella and your feet hurt, but you put them on and all is right with the world comfy.
Am I too passionate about comfy clothes?

Restoration Hardware (random, I know!) sells the most amazing slippers (and also robes, but they're pretty pricey), and only at this season. They sell out. (I know this because I keep waiting until after-Christmas sales to buy my new pair for the year, and I always get a limited color selection.) Go look!

@Mrs. Tricycle: Good idea, I love Target's loungewear. I want to try to be as specific as possible for him so something where I can just go, "this one" and he can order it online lol but I might just pick up some stuff from Target myself!

@PrincessBaby: Yes, I did put a Plum Pretty Sugar robe on my wish list, they're so pretty!

@MamaBehr: @Pink Champagne: Yep I already have some nursing tanks on there.

For bottoms I love something like this, but of course since it's the Gap, they don't have my size in stock.

http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=9936&vid=1&pid=855624072

ETA wait... now they do have my size in stock. Silly Gap. They were all out of large's this morning!

Do you have Kirkland's where you are? It's like a home decor store (random!) but I was there last night and got my sister reeaaalllly comfy and cute pajama pants for $12. They are drawstring and bonus, super long like VS Pink ones--so you can cut them to the right length if you want.

These wouldn't be cheap whatsoever, but have you ever tried on Ugg slippers? I LOVE them, they're so warm and comfy and cute! Although I really like Uggs, I know a lot of people think they're hideous. ;) But the slippers look like moccasins and they last forever.

Nursing tanks, maternity tanks from Gap, and just regular yoga pants with the fold down top. My maternity tshirts and other tops just fit weird after having the baby, so I felt like the stretchier, tighter tops were more flattering. Regular yoga pants should fit, and I just wore the fold over part up like maternity panel pants ;). Those open no-button cardigans would be cute to throw over a tank to make a cute lounge-y outfit. I personally would not wear pajamas but that's just because wearing PJs in front of other people/guests made me feel frumpy.
I always made sure I was showered, with makeup on and my hair either blowed dry or up in a bun on my head when people came to visit. It just made me feel good to have an excuse to look pretty, and taking a shower/getting ready was a nice excuse to have a break from baby :)

I have always slept in tanktops with the built in bras, and when I was nursing DD I lived in the nursing tanktops from Target. I don't think I ever wore a nursing bra because I loved these soooo much. When DS was born, I was delighted to see that Target's nursing tank tops were prettier! They are with the bras, not the maternity stuff, and freakin' awesome.

I also just lived in Old Navy or Gap pj bottoms. Nothing too specific.

I think it is a good idea to prepare for that transition phase, where you don't want to wear maternity clothes anymore, but you can't go back into your old stuff yet. I got some stuff from Old Navy and Gap, because their stuff is so versatile and comfy. And they always have coupons- like right now they have 30% off. I also really love LuluLemon just because everything there is flattering....

I didn't want to spend a ton of money, so I got some tops from Old Navy online in a few colors to wear with tights and Uggs or flip flops (in FL, you never know what a Dec day will bring). I am normally an Xs or S prepreg, so I got the tops in a Medium...And I got Spanx tights (will need all the help I can get). And I bought a pair of nice, flattering, Lululemon yoga pants to make me feel good PP.....And I also got a HipShrinkx belt and a Belly Bandit. So that's my PostPartum Treasure Chest for the most part!

Oh and I read that having a nice but comfy robe to wear can help with when you're not up to getting dressed and are just around the house. So I ordered one from Gap!

Even though I'm past my due date, I bought some more lounge-y maternity friendly clothes today. It's just cheap Target stuff, but I felt okay buying it because the price wasn't bad.

I got two pairs of regular pajama pants ($12.99 each), in size XX (eek!!). I know my belly is going to get smaller after I give birth, but I'm pretty sure it's going to take a while for my butt and thighs to shrink. New PJ bottoms make me feel "fancy" even though they're loungey. These have a drawstring and fit well underneath my belly, even though they aren't maternity. I got gray polka-dots and green paisley.
http://www.target.com/p/gilligan-o-malley-women-s-flannel-pajama-pant-assorted-colors/-/A-14157542#prodSlot=large_1_15

I also liked this long sleeve sweatshirt tunic with a cowl neck. It's really soft and comfy, and works well with leggings - aka - it covers my butt! :) Not sure how it will work as my belly deflates, but for now it's good. http://www.target.com/p/liz-lange-for-target-maternity-long-sleeve-sweatshirt-assorted-colors/-/A-14240595#prodSlot=large_1_9

I also have been rocking cheap-o nursing tanks from Walmart. They're comfy and the fit is really good (for me). They layer well under hoodies or long sleeve t-shirts. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Bestform-Maternity-Nursing-Bra-Tanks-2-Pack/13055803

DH wanted to know what I want for Christmas and as I build my wish list, I find myself looking for stuff I can wear in late maternity (I'm due Feb. 3 so I'll be almost 9 months along come Christmas) and after birth as lounge wear. I typically wear one of DH's T-shirts to bed and/or a pair of pre-maternity pajama pants that are way tight and I wear slung down almost to my crotch. I'd like something comfortable and something I can wear around company and in the hospital. I don't mind looking loungy when company comes, but my current at-home wardrobe is not appropriate. Plus I kind of want to feel pretty.

I'm looking for recs on:

- pajamas (nursing-friendly)
- lounge/pajama pants I can wear now and after birth (so preferably drawstring)
- loungy cardigans I can wear over nursing tanks
- slippers

Any particular brands you love?
