definitely introduce the potty and reward him positively for peeing in it... stickers, mini m&m's.... whatever you think is a high reward.

One think I learned the hard way: there's often only a brief window where kids are interested in potty training. If you don't move quickly, they sometimes lose interest until they're quite a bit older! That's what happened to Charlie...

So this may be a great window of opportunity...

Mavrick is 16 months next week... so something like the first suggestion seems good. I think the Baby Bjorn seems to be a popular brand.

Not sure how old Mavi is but this bjorn smart potty is a little lower to the ground for younger infants.

Mavi pooped in the tub once when he was smaller, but I have a feeling he will start pooping eventually when he "knows" he can do it on demand. (to a certain extent)

Ya, I'll go get a potty this weekend. THanks for the tip!

It sounds like you can take that opportunity to do some potty training if he is peeing so consistently at that time! I have no advice on that front, though, as my LO refuses to sit on the potty still and I have bought 3 different ones so she just must not be ready for yet.

My LO pooped in the bath once when she was younger. We freaked out, pulled her out, cleaned the bathtub, re-filled with water, put her back in. She hasn't pooped in the bath since that one incident.

She'll occasionally pee in the bath.. when she does, we just drain the water and refill. I figure a little pee residue won't kill her.

So, I was also going to post something about this. When LO was 2 days old, we put her in her tub and she shat in the water and nearly stuck her poo-hands in her mouth! Since then we sponge-bathed her...Up until last week when we felt she needed a good washing. So in the evening when we're ready to bathe her, I'll wait until she has a wet/dirty diaper, and then stick her in her tub. So far, I've been lucky. But I've always wondered what other parents do when their baby pees or poos in the tub?

I bought this potty http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XE4EP0/ref=ox_ya_os_product
it's great because the higher front blocks flying pee. :)

I would get the potty, place it on the mat, and have him start peeing in it. If he likes squatting to pee, you can always put the removable part on the mat so he can still pee squatting.

Okay... so this is related to the shower post. When I prep Mavi to take a shower, meaning strip him down to his birthday suit, he automatically crouches and pees on the bath mat. EVERYTIME.

So if I hurry to give him to the hubs but he pulls a fit. HE WANTS TO PEE! It's hilarious. (well not so much for the bath mat) so I'm thinking we need a potty to teach him to pee in the potty but don't know if there are some better than others.

Any tips on teaching him peeing on the mat is not a good thing? I try telling him to pee in the shower ... but he doesn't understand.
