Not breastmilk but my formula fed babies topped out at 7 oz and they were on high calorie formula. They are barely on the curve at 2-10 percentile.

Both kids maxed out at 6 oz (three times a day) when we had dropped their night feeding (around 10m). I don't think percentiles had any effect. Xander was always around the ~15th percentile and Logan was around the 50th.

DS was small (<5%) and drank up to 8oz. He drank the 8oz for a couple months, but his usual intake was 5oz?

DD is 3 months and is currently taking 4oz so not sure where she'll cap out at.

LO2 is at 4 6 oz bottles a day. LO1 would drink up to 8oz bottles when we were down to 2 bottles a day. She was 15-20% for weight. LO2 is 95% for weight.

No correlation in our case.

There was a short point before DS was on solids and he went to 4 feedings a day where I prepped 8oz bottles and he would take 6-7oz, but once solids kicked in he went to four 6oz bottles a day and slowly reduced down until he bottle weaned at around 10 months.

DD took 6oz breastmilk at her max and she was in the 10th percentile. She's also now the biggest eater at daycare and still stick thin. Her activity level and metabolism have always made up for it.

It drove me nuts to see those breastmilk"limits", especially as a mom whose baby was on the low end of the curves! Feed your babe what keeps them happy

My baby is 90+ percentile for weight and length. He drinks 4 oz bottles only. I don't think there's a correlation. I work 10 hours days and he drinks four 4oz bottles during the time that I'm gone (11-12 hours). He also nurses twice and sometimes has a 5th bottle of 4oz.

LO is 13mos now. He started getting bottles at 3 months. Over the 10 months that he's taken expressed milk his bottles have ranged between 3-4.75 ounces. He's always taken somewhere between 10 and 14 ounces over the course of about 9 hours apart. His peak consumption was between 7-9 months.

Ds2 Will take between six and 8 ounces of breast milk in a bottle but won't take more than 4 ounces of formula in a bottle most days (occasionally 6). He's quite a big boy at five months and almost 19 1/2 pounds.

DS is a big fella, but he hasn't had more than 4oz in a bottle. But I bet that's more to do with him tolerating the bottle instead of loving it. He just turned 4 months and is over 19 lbs, basically 98%+ in height and weight. He takes about an oz for each hour he is at daycare.

I'm sure when he's nursing he is having more, though. When I feel full and pump, I get about 5oz on each side; but when he nurses he will usually take both sides.

DS slowly worked his way up to drinking a bit over 6 so I'd leave baby sitters with 7 oz just in case. He only had bottles a few times a week so I wasn't really counting total oz or anything, just trying to make sure I didn't leave a baby sitter or DH with a hungry baby. For a while he never drank much more than 5 oz.

I know KellyMom says 3-5oz per bottle is the average, but I'm curious what what your LO "maxed out" at, and if you felt it had any correlation to their body's size/percentile. Only asking about breastmilk here, I know formula is different.
