They are good for 6 years and I willlikely have another child so I will simply use Combi for the new baby down teh road and upgrade DD when the time comes. I did it for the same reason you did - compatibility w/ the UBV.</p> <p>When it came time to get a convertible, I was mostly looking for something compatible with compact cars since we now have a Prius. I researched convertibles and really liked the Pria but in Canada it's only available at babies r us and wasn't carried yet. I ended up with a gifted Evenflo anyways but I still might get the Pria and move the Evenflo to my DH's car.</p> <p>I bought the Perle umbrella stroller on sale since they have a new model and I love it. I can say I dont really see too many of the convertibles, even in stores.</p> <p>I say just do some research and dcide what you like independent of brand. We've tried out a couple and I will say that the Recaro one we used a couple weeks ago was AWESOME. It was really well made and was very soft and comfy.
