None of those are this child's name.</p> <p>So I say stick with it if you love it. It's lovely, it's special but not weird. But then we went to the SSA website to see the popularity of the name for boys, and it peaked in the 1930s at like number 950 on the top 1000, then since 2009 it has been in the 500s for girls! So his whole theory about how it has historically been a boys name is bunk, because it is twice as popular for girls as it has ever been for boys.
