@Jess1483: thanks for all the suggestions! Lol about the shot glass! I'm not familiar with high lipase, but I'll look it up....
I am starting to worry that he won't take formula as well! Do you have any suggestions for that? I know some people mix bm with formula.....

I have a friend who gave her daughter sippy cups of breastmilk at 4 months because her daughter wouldn't take a bottle.

I remembered another!

We finally skipped straight to taking short drinks out of what was basically a shot glass. He was simply not going to suck to get BM if it wasn't from Mama! But he'd accept us pouring it. Hopefully only temporary (again), but a way to introduce.

I can't imagine that she'll take a bottle of formula if she won't take a bottle of breast milk.

My little guy wouldn't take a bottle (due to high lipase, but I didn't know it at the time). We tried various things with different rates of success:
1. Give the bottle in the bath
2. Try replicating your presence (though this is unlikely to work, since she won't take a bottle from you). Alternatively, make it very different from when you feed her (sit somewhere else, use a different position, etc.)
3. Distract. For awhile, my guy would only eat solids if we were outside. Luckily, it was spring!
4. Check to make sure your milk tastes ok, especially after it's been stored. If it doesn't, google "high lipase" or PM me.
5. Try putting baby in the car seat to feed (hopefully just temporarily).

I tried all the bottles, but that def wasn't our issue, and I've rarely heard of a different bottle making all that much difference.

LO 1 only drank warm milk (borderline hot) from bottles! We tried lots of brands but she did the best with Mam bottles.

My LO only takes it when distracted. DH puts him in the Ergo, goes for a walk down a busy, noisy street, and kind of sneak attacks him with it so he's eating before he realizes what's going on. And it doesn't work if I'm anywhere nearby!

My 4.5 month old is ebf. He gets bottles of breast milk when I'm at work part-time, but only my mom is successful in getting him to take a bottle! My husband, me and the babysitter have all tried and failed. I am probably going to have to supplement soon, and I am worried that he won't eat as much as he needs, because he doesn't want to take the bottle!

We currently use Dr Brown's bottles. I've tried Born free and I have Avent but haven't tried it yet. I know every baby's preference is different, but does anyone have any tips or ideas as to how I can get baby to take the bottle? My husband says hat he'll take the bottle when he's hungry enough. :bummed: does it have to get to that point where he's so hungry hat he has no choice? I just feel kind of bad about that! But I also know that he's so far refused the bottle too many times......
