We really try to give each other a good amount of me time and I feel pleased with it. I go to the gym four to five times a week and that's really important to me. Right now I'm on a three day vacation with my sister and DH has been great about not bugging me with questions.

I barely get any at all but it's really my fault for not taking more time for myself once E has gone down to sleep at night. I usually spend the 2 hours or so I get each evening being a "wife" - cooking, cleaning up after dinner, watching whatever DH wants to watch on TV - but I could easily do something *I* want to do..... if only I could work out what I want to do!!!

Not a ton, but enough for now. I get some rest time during nap and after bedtime. I go out in the evening with friends or alone about twice per month. I want to do more stuff for myself on the weekends, but its hard for some reason. DH is really good at taking me-time on the weekends, he goes to the pub almost every weekend to watch soccer, usually for about 3 hours or so.

hardly any. it would be nice, but so far it isn't weighing on me too much. i think it's also because i'm new to my area and most of the friends i'm making are mom friends and we can have playdates. if i were still living in my old city, i would probably take more alone time to hang out with my girlfriends.

Not much during the week, unless you count after bedtime as "me time". On the weekends? DH will give me as much as I need, he's good like that. He works way more hours and goes to night school during the week so he wants that weekend time with DS and knows that I need to recharge. I'm a true introvert. We usually do stuff as family but about once or twice a month I'll take an afternoon to myself!

During the week, not much. After LO goes to bed I get about an hour before I am exhausted myself. Sat nights we alternate between date nights, me going out with girlfriends, DH going out with his friends, Or just us both staying in.

Right now very little. I have a 3 month old and 34 month old and I stay home. The 3 month old and 34 month old rarely nap at the same time and I go to bed within an hour of the baby (pump and watch tv with my husband). I get a little time every Tuesday and Thursday when the toddler goes to school but usually when the baby is sleeping in doing chores or errands.

I'm going skiing on Saturday and this will really he the first me time for me since the baby was born. Yay.

During the week is hard, but every weekend we each get and take "me time". We both require a fair amount of alone time to really distress, and neither of us think being a martyr is a healthy long term solution for ourselves or our marriage. So, that leaves the old "ask for what you need and take what you need" routine :silly:

No real me time unless you count working hours and commute time. DH works a shift schedule so if he's at home it's pretty much all family time. And DS1 goes to bed late so no free time in the evening.

So far the only me time I get is in the shower. I'm breast feeding and though she's 6 months now so I should be able to go out for a few hours I suffer from extreme mommy guilt and always worry she'll get hungry and need me. (Doesn't take a bottle). I plan to start jogging so that'll give me more me time! Unless I get a jogging stroller and bring her.... Still debating that one.

DH tells me every week to take as much time as I need. Since he travels and I don't get much time with LO during the week, I don't take a lot of me time. I prefer family time. But when I do, he never complains. I usually just tell him what my plans are. I think he feels guilty for being gone during the week (or even when he is home working so late, we don't get time together) that he usually asks me if he can go out to dinner/drinks with friends. I think he feels bad that I sit at home so much by myself at night, but I always tell him it is fine. We both need adult/me time.

I get alone time when I'm at work? When I'm driving to work? Or during lunch breaks when I can run errands or browse at Target... DD is still young (3.5 mo) so I don't really expect for things to look up maybe till summer time.

DH & I try to switch off right now on Sat to be able to do random things on our own.

This past weekend, my me time was target and the grocery store by myself, doing all the week's shopping. But I made it my "me time" be taking a hellllla long time at Target and treating myself to a snack and a drink at Starbucks while I just sat in the café and surfed the net for a while.

I get maybe one full day a month. I work one weekend a month, and get comp days off during the week on either side of that weekend. Usually I keep D home from daycare one of those days, but the other day I take him to daycare and do some cooking/cleaning/shopping, but also take time to just revel in my alone-ness. This Thursday, I'm spending my day off at our local spa. Just me, my Kindle, and my masseuse.

DH gets every Tuesday evening to himself for tennis and any other day he wants to go fishing. He definitely gets more him time than I do. He offers once in awhile when I'm stretched super thin, but I've only taken up on his offer less than a handful of times. When he did, I just stayed home and read even though I should have been napping. Ha!

How much alone time do you get? What about your SO? We usually get "me time" while DS naps, but I tend to spend that time prepping dinner/catching up on chores. Aside from that I'll go out for dinner with the girls once every couple weeks. DH disappears into his man cave for 1-2 hours a few nights a week, but typically most of our time is spent as a family. It would be nice to have more time to ourselves. I would love to go to yoga classes again, but there just aren't enough hours in the day!
