It's not an app, but I use Plantoeat.com. I've never stuck with a meal-planning service before, but I've used this one faithfully since November. I love it. It's $5 a month or $40 for the year (But they always have a half-price sale on Black Friday, which is when I bought it).

They do have a mobile website, so you can easily use that for grocery shopping. It's just the best designed meal planning website I've ever come across.

It's not an app but DH and I have really liked fresh20. I could send you a meal plan if you wanted to try it out.

I was using Ziplist for years and I loved it, but unfortunately it shut down. Now I use Pepperplate. You can save recipes to it, then create your shopping list right from the recipes (you just add a recipe to your shopping list). You can set the order of your store aisles so that the list on your phone is in the order you shop. I liked Ziplist better, but Pepperplate is pretty great!

We've been incredibly lucky to have meals delivered to us 2-3x/week since our baby was born 6 weeks ago, but now I need to start thinking about feeding myself and my husband again. I'd love an app that helps me plan, organize, and shop for several days to a week at a time. I'm overwhelmed with the choices & reviews in the app store. What app do you use, and do you recommend it? What features do you love about it?

About us: I just need to cook for DH & myself. I'm going back to work in about 6 weeks. I'm not opposed to leftovers or batch cooking, though I've never actually attempted batch cooking. We don't have any dietary restrictions, but DH & I would both like to lose the baby weight  I have an iPhone and a gift card to iTunes, so I'm even willing to buy the app! Thanks for your help!
