@jetsa: Yeah, I ended up having him do lunch at daycare around 7 or 8 months (when he was actually interested in eating) and then added breakfast at daycare, and added dinners last once he was down to two naps a day and was actually awake and wanted to eat in the evenings!

@Adira: that is a really good idea because those 90 minutes he is awake at night are never long enough! :(

@jetsa: I actually ended up having Xander start eating lunch at daycare instead of dinner at home in order to get him to eat one solid meal a day because he kept falling asleep on the ride home from daycare and I couldn't get him to eat at all, haha! So you could do that if you want to make sure he eats, but I don't think it matters too much! :D

We didn't add a second meal until about 1.5 or 2 months after we a started solids. She didn't actually start getting hungry for solids until maybe 9 or 9.5 months.

I introduced purees at dinner for DS when he was 5 months old. Per the pedi, we upped it to 3 meals a day when he was 6 months. He'd have a bottle first then 30 minutes later, have solids.

Xander wasn't even interested in solids until 7 months! And then we just did dinners before introducing another solid meal! He wasn't on 3 meals a day until around 10 months. And we were already doing a D vitamin since he's breastfed and didn't add any additional vitamins.

We only did food in the evening for a month or so and then started on lunch+dinner and on the weekends we would do breakfast. It wasn't until she was probably 8/9 months that she REALLY got interested. We didn't supplement with vitamins or anything since formula has plenty

What does your 6 month olds schedule look like?

DS's is

2am BF
5am BF
6:30am BF
3 bottles at daycare between 8-5
5:30 purees
6:15 BF

Daycare offered to start giving him lunch. Is this something I need to add? He just doesn't seem to care all that much for dinner and still wants to nurse 45 mins later so idk if he's just not ready or what?
Does he need to be taking a vitamin now?
