These are my go to meals:
Chicken enchiladas or pulled pork sandwiches.
Fried rice with a stir fry (shrimp with sugar snap peas or beef and broccoli).

Chicken pot pie (I also love it with fish, but I realize this is not everyone's taste)
Wasabi Salmon (from the blog, spread a mix of mayo and wasabi on a piece of salmon, pour teriyaki or Mr. Yoshida's gourmet sauce around it, bake. I put the panko on top a little later, otherwise it burns)
Whole roasted chicken, from Costco!
Pasta bake
Buttermilk chicken tenders (dip tenders in buttermilk, then dip in a mix of bisquick, seasoned salt, cajun seasoning and chopped pecans. Place on baking sheet and drizzle with melted butter. This is from a member of the boards, sooo good).

Pork chops, ranch dressing powder pack, cream of chicken soup on high for 4 hours or low for 6. You can throw carrots in there or make a salad or frozen veggie.

This meal is delicious, and super easy: http://damndelicious.net/2013/09/22/one-pot-mexican-skillet-pasta/

I usually serve with garlic bread.

Oh and this is another favorite in our house. Takes a while to cook but the prep is super easy and once you stick it in the oven you just leave it! http://www.crowthercafe.com/easyrecipe-print/646-0/

I was coming to suggest crock pot pulled pork, so another vote for that! Also, I've made this a couple of times and it's so easy and pretty. (Maybe too similar to taco night, but you could also just do some different seasonings and still serve over rice or quinoa or something!)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IehX_6FHTNw&index=11&list=PL8zglt-LDl-iwBHEl3Pw1IhWGp9cfgMrc

(We've just done like a buffet-style instead of pre-making the bowls because we had it for dinner instead of pre-prepped.)

Entree salad night, like a big Cobb salad for the adults. Just chop the meat off a rotisserie chicken and give the kids the drumsticks and wings, plus whatever they want of the salad ingredients and then give them some bread.

Pulled pork in the crockpot is a 2 for 1. Crockpot a pork butt or shoulder seasoned with onion powder, salt and pepper, a bay leaf, and 1T of Worchestershire sauce for each pound of meat. Let it go overnight on LOW. Mix up half the meat with BBQ sauce for pulled pork sandwiches (just buy buns, chips, and coleslaw or potato salad at the store). The other half shred up and throw on a cookie sheet and put under the broiler for a few minutes for amazing carnitas for your taco night.

Chili and spaghetti meat sauce is another 2 for 1 type deal. Make a standard ground beef tomato sauce with oregano, onions, chopped bell pepper, garlic, etc. Ladle out half of the sauce for spaghetti night. To the pot now add chili powder and cumin (or a packet of chili seasoning), 2 cans of beans, and some corn if you want and you've got chili (buy some cornbread from the store or serve on baked potatoes).

Not sure what your weather is but here are some ideas:

pot roast with potatoes/carrots/onion (let the crockpot do the work!)
Grilled Skewers: chicken/steak and veggies
Lasagna (unless you are against 2 Italian mealss but you can make ahead and just bake with salad and bread)
Baked pork chops with veggies and rice
BLTs with pasta salad and fruit
Grilled Cheese and tomato soup (I buy the red pepper tomato bisque from trader joes...so good and not in a can...but a container haha)

@mediagirl: A few quiches with pre made frozen dough? You can throw in precooked sausage, shredded cheese and whatever veggies are in season.

Or a chili for the crockpot? This one is my favorite and the prep is minimal (just chopping some veggies and mincing garlic) https://smittenkitchen.com/2010/09/beef-chili-sour-cream-and-cheddar-biscuits/

Other idea is grabbing a rotisserie chicken or two! My supermarket always has them on sale for $5.

Crock pot pulled pork can make 2 nights of meals and requires almost no prep. 1. Put pork roast in crock pot. Dump in can of Dr. Pepper or Coke. Cook for 8 hours on low and then shred. Add bbq sauce or whatever and make sandwiches or put it on a baked potato.

I need a weeks worth of meals for 5 people. My inlaws are coming in on Saturday. If I don't plan meals, we will eat soup from a can every night and I hate soup from a can. I need to be prepared. Please help me plan for this upcoming week....meals need to be child and older adult friendly. Also, I work so they can't be labor intensive or take longer than 30-45 minutes to cook unless it's the Sunday meal, which I can spend some time on.

I'm thinking:
Spaghetti night
Burger/dog night
Taco night

I need 3 more ideas. Help? :)
