I feed LO breakfast an hour after she wakes.
She doesn't eat a lot so I nurse after.
That's pretty much how the rest of the day goes. Solids first since she's not a good solids eater and then boob.
She just turned 1!

I always gave it at the same time for exactly that reason. I don't want to be constantly feeding her. She always finished both so luckily it worked for us.

7 am wakeup-breastfeed
60 min later breakfast at daycare
11:30 am lunch (sippy of milk)
1:00 breastfeed
4:00 pm snack (rest of milk in sippy)
6:00 pm breastfeed
6:30 pm dinner

It's been this way for a number of months. We just do solids when it works for us.

I always give LO her solids right before I give her the bottle. I want to make sure she's hungry enough to eat solids, but she never fills up enough so she always wants her bottle.

@Cchoi4: We do basically the same as you at 9 mos. Wake up and BF. 60-90 mins later, solids. Nap. Wake up and BF. 60-90 mins later, solids. Nap. Wake up and BF. 60-90 mins later, solids. BF before bedtime. It is a lot of feeding, though I guess the BFing might be easier than preparing a bottle, so I typically don't mind. I actually like being on the road sometimes because it forces us all to "eat" at the same time, which is easier to do now that we're introducing a lot more table food.

LO is 8 months old and this is how I feed her:
- Wakeup - breastfeed (no solids in the morning...yet)
- Four hours later/after first nap/lunch: Solids then breastfeed half hour later
- Four hours later/after second nap: Solids then breastfeed half hour later
- 2-3 hours later/bedtime: breastfeed only

For the last few weeks I've been trying to get her on a every-four-hours eating schedule. I'm not strict with it, though.

For those whose LO's are on solids, do you stagger meals? Right now, I give LO a bottle right when he wakes up, wait about an hour to give him breakfast (waffle, berries, chicken sausage). Same goes for lunch and dinner. So right now, we stagger his meals. I did this mainly because he gets too distracted to want to sit and eat or drink for long periods of time. But feeding him this way means he is eating virtually every 1.5 hours or so. I want to get him on a schedule that is more in line with how my DH and I eat...is it too early to do this? (FYI - he is 11 months old)
