One week I measured 4-5 weeks behind and the next time 1 week behind. It's not like it really grew that much in a 2 week period. Also, she said one side of my uterus measured more than the other side. And my baby was pretty much 50% weight at 26 week scan and the day he was born. He wasn't a small baby (completely average 7lbs 9oz), but I consistently measured 2 weeks behind (or more!). Since you have a short torso it is probably that. I have a long torso and I am 6' so lots of room. That was for my second. I had an ultrasound that day for a different reason, which confirmed the size. I had follow up ultrasounds, which showed I continued to measure ahead, but not by quite as much. I was induced at 39+1 for size, and gave birth to an 8 lb 7 ounce baby. My third was probably my hardest (I'm older, gained the most weight and she was the biggest). At my 36 week appointment I was measuring a full 4 weeks ahead. And that was via ultrasound too! I'm short and have a short torso, so my belly just grows out!</p> <p>Has anyone else measured this far ahead though before?? This just seems excessive! </p>
