The doctor was concerned and made me come in for a repeat a week later. I wasn't tracking, but from the timing, I must have ovulated really late that time. My tech or doctor weren't concerned at all and said it's fairly normal at the beginning stages. I was confident of my dates because I was temping/using OPKs and I got a BFP at 9dpo (pretty much impossible if it had been at 6dpo). I was super nervous because of a prior miscarriage, but I had another ultrasound 2 weeks later, and he had caught up and was actually measuring ahead.</p> <p>2-3 days is nothing to be worried about most of the time because they are so tiny at that point. I'm sure it's scary with the bleeding, though. In the last trimester he measured large, and indeed, he was born a week ahead of my EDD. I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant. At my 7 week ultrasound, this baby was also measuring a week behind. I'll see if s/he has caught up at my next ultrasound in a few days. But my last experience has helped me worry less and realize that the numbers are just averages. According to lmp, I'm 6w5d, but I think I'm 6w1d (opk, tracking cm). I measured at 5w6d with a flicker of a heartbeat though. The tech seemed concerned and said I would probably need more bloodwork or a followup ultrasound. I'm still waiting to hear back from my dr. </p> <p>Any similar experiences?? </p>
