we haven't given her meats yet, but for protein we do give her egg yolks. one suggestion a mom friend gave me is to boil eggs, and mash the egg yolks in with some breastmilk/formula and feed that as a puree. or if you're doing BLW like me, you can scramble the egg yolks and let her feed herself. it's a great source of omega-3's too!

i think pediatricians suggest waiting because babies' bodies have a hard time processing meats until they're a bit older. we gave charlie meat when he was at least 10 months old.

I started meat at around 9 months, but even now at 15 months, DD still doesn't eat much meat. She's 90% vegetarian.

Mavrick was a eater so I started extremely early with cereal. I started meats once all the fruits and veggies were tested. So at the 6 month mark for us (he started cereal at 3 months)

When did you start giving your babies meat? Friends have started at 7-8 months, but my pediatrician tells me that there's no hurry and to wait 10 months. baby is 9 months. i wanted to try giving her some chicken and rice, but now i'm wondering if i should hold back a little bit and continue introducing her fruit and veggies?
