The freestyle is the best! Well it's the only one I used but I never ever had any problems with mine and it being so small and portable is extra awesome!!

I have both the freestyle and a generic dbl medela that is just like the pisa. I love the freestyle for its portability esp during leave. I used to use it on a higher setting, but this time around level 4 for 15-20 min gets the job done. I haven't even opened the PY I got from insurance and won't touch the dbl electric 'til I go back to work probably.

I found it to be really good! I used both the PISA and freestlye.

Even if my office, I loved the screen and timer. I usually kept it at like 4-6 out of 10!

I found the freestyle suction to be really good. I only needed to pump on like level 5 (of a possible 9) so it could have gone much stronger than I personally needed.

@dc yoga bee: No advice on the freestyle but I have 2 PISA pumps that I love (I purchased them with my first LO). Also there's room in the bags of both my PISA for a few other small things. My insurance gave me a medela personal double this time and I hate that damn thing so do not get that lol. I've come to realize that insurance pumps just are not the same as those you purchase yourself, I got an ameda last time and had the same issue as you.

@catomd00: I should've mentioned I'm not really concerned about moving around. I pump in my office, 5-15min and its my time to relax and not be bothered actually. In the mornings when I pump at home, it's like 5:00am. Not moving around! I just see the rave reviews for freestyle, and it's a $50 difference so I was wondering if I should spring for it. I'm leaning towards the PISA. The bookbag option would be great for metro. I'm having a hard time with lunch bag, work bag, pump tote bag. Yeesh!

I've used both and much prefer the PISA for everyday use at work. The portability isn't the greatest but if you're using it at work you don't need to be able to move around with it. I couldn't really comfortably move around with the freestyle anyways..

I have the freestyle and I pump once a day and I love it!! I haven't used any others, but this one was covered under my insurance too. Also the battery lasts forever. I'm truly impressed with the battery life!

My LOs are 2 years apart and I WFT and EBFed until 1 year (for both LOs). So I pumped a lot! I used the Freestyle and loved it (and it lasted through 2 LOs). Using the right size flanges makes a big difference, but I never had issues with suction (unless parts weren't assembled correctly).

I've never used to the PISA but I love the freestyle (I need the portability because I pump in the car during my commute). The only time I've had trouble with suction was before I found the right size flange or if something wasn't assembled quite right.

I had both a PISA and a Freestyle and much preferred the Freestyle. You have a little more control over changing the speed and suction and stuff, plus it has the timer function that lights up so you can see how long you've been pumping.

Everyone's boobs are different, but I always got slightly more from the Freestyle. It has more of a vibrationy feeling from the motor that the PISA doesn't have--it's hard to explain, but I had a faster let down with that.

I had the Freestyle and used it everyday, 6x a day, for 30 minutes at a Level 6 suction for 9 months (can you tell I had low supply?). I found the suction fine but obviously you need the right flange size and DO NOT micro sterilize the membrane or adaptor pieces to the bottle - they warp and then you really have bad suction!

Short story- my ameda purely yours stinks. There is no suction on one side, and I'm tired of it. I've been back to work for 3 weeks, and LO is almost 11 weeks old. My FSA covers breast pumps, and they're on sale at diapers.com so I think it's worth the investment. I pump 3x a day at work. The freestyle is $268 vs $224 for the PISA. I love the idea of portability, but need to make sure the suction is awesome. Anyone have any opinions? Prefer one over the other? Help!
