Thanks ladies! I read some reviews that the suction is stronger on the PISA too. I'll give it a try!

@blackbird: @Anagram: I got it in 2013. We tried troubleshooting it but it still didn't work. They said they only cover 1 year warranty so since it's been longer than that there is nothing they can do. She said she could offer me a 30% discount to buy a new one but it's cheaper if I go through insurance. I just can't decide if I want to pay extra for it. I mean I liked it, but if the PISA does the exact same thing I minus well go with free!

@dolphin: How old is the Freestyle? I had an older Freestyle and the motor started to go--I called Medela and they had me do troubleshooting over the phone. When nothing worked, they sent me a new pump!

Any chance medela will charge you to replace the motor and it'll cost less than $195?

I've been using a PISA too just fine! BUT I could see spending $ on the Freestyle if it's what you're used to.

I EPed with a PISA and had no complaints. It did everything I needed it to do.

I have the Freestyle pump and used it a year with LO1. I liked it a lot because it was so light and portable. I brought it to work with me every day. I just dusted it off in preparation for LO2 and the motor is dead!!! I'm so bummed. So now my options through insurance are to get a FREE Medela Pump in Style Advanced starter kit or pay $195 for an upgrade to the Freestyle. A part of me wants the Freestyle because that's what I'm use to but not sure if it's worth the additional cost. The PISA starter kit is basic but I already have all the extras like tote bag, cooler bag, extra bottles, etc. So ladies, do you think I should just get the free PISA or pay extra for the Freestyle?
