I think the Medela nipples collapse. But... I'm never the one feeding her bottles, so DH and the ILs tend to use the Medela bottles if they're already filled with milk. We gave c her first bottle of milk and I couldn't find the nipples for the medela ones, so we had to use the tommee tippee ones some gifted us. We tried every brand I heard of and spent about $150. She refused all of them. Since she disliked all of them equally we sent her to daycare with Medela. After a day she started taking those just fine which made me very happy. My best friend went through so many bottles (and so much $$) finding a bottle her son would take. We feed J a bottle of pumped milk once a day or less--and he seems to be fine--not too gassy, etc. But I feel like there are so many other bottles out there everyone talks about, I feel like I am cheating him out of a better bottle. Does anyone else just use the Medela bottles for feeding rather than some other "special" bottle? </p>
