I asked my doctor when my allergies flared up just to make sure and he gave the OK. He said in his opinion he would recommend Zyrtec over any others because it's milder? Zicam is basically zinc. I avoided most during my pregnancy, but there were 2 days that I needed the Sudafed. I had the worst head cold and was making it worse by not getting any sleep. Benedryl handles a runny, drippy nose/sneezing and Sudafed handles the stopped-up congestion and sinus pressure. I opted to avoid both but did tKe Tylenol when absolutely needed. I trusted my doc with the medicine stuff! Once you go in for your first appt, they should give you a written list too. This may not be a full list, but ultimately these were the medications they said were OK: Tylenol,<br /> Sudafed (only the kind you have to use your ID to get from the pharmacy is okay, not the over-the-counter sudafed PE),<br /> Claritin,<br /> Zyrtec,<br /> Benadryl,<br /> Zicam</p> <p>Of course I read differing advice online about some of these. So I don't know whether to listen to my doctor who says they are all okay, or to avoid them! Ugh, I hate mixed information. What have your doctors said about any of these? </p>
