I used the Lunette and femme cup. Liked them both but in different ways. There is a great site that helps you determine which cup is most likely to fit your needs, but I forgot the name of it. There's a short quiz on there.

I have the diva cup and use the larger size. It works great - I like it so, so much better than tampons. The trick for me was making sure it doesn't overlap with my cervix but rather completely surrounds it. I will rotate it a couple of times once it is inserted. If it's inserted correctly it won't hurt at all, whereas if it's overlapping my cervix it hurts to rotate. I sometimes still get leaks overnight on really heavy days, but that doesn't happen much.

I use a diva cup but it hasn't worked as well pp. Maybe because I'm stubborn and haven't sized up! But yeah pp periods are awful. I'm going to go back on the pill now that I'm essentially not nursing any more.

@mand4: agree about the leakage. In my experience, leakage isn't actually the cup leaking but the excess fluid that accumulates while dumping the cup. This is TMI, but when I reinsert the cup, I run my finger around the cup a few times (rinsing or wiping the finger each time I go around) after it is inserted which helps pick up a lot of extra fluid and then I don't "leak" nearly as much. My cup has only for real leaked one time when I had an unexpected heavy flow for a few hours.

But you may want to try a different cup. The Diva didn't work for me (way too long) and I've been more comfortable with the Moon Cup.

I have used a Diva cup for a long time. Went up to a size 2, as recommended post partum. I've always gotten some leaks on super heavy days (comparable to what you get with a tampon). Just make sure you're using the postpartum size.

This is kind of weird to explain, but if you change the cup right in the middle of when your body is getting rid of a lot of fluid, you may get some leakage (just due to the timing of when you're removing and putting it back in). Maybe it's a general seal thing, maybe it's an only me thing...

I had a diva cup prebaby and loved it but threw it out assuming it wouldn't fit post baby (which was so stupid) because they say you switch sizes.

I replaced it with a Lena cup which I hate, it fits weirdly for me. I do like the stem better which is one of the reasons I bought it over the diva cup. I wasn't too buy something else but we're ttc now so it seems kind of silly when things might change down there again.

I have used diva and lunette. I got leaks with lunette but I'm pretty sure I got the wrong size. It was a little too easy to insert and take out, so I think it was too small. I never got leaks with diva but I found it less comfortable to use. I'm pregnant now but will probably try out a larger size lunette in the future and then go back to diva if I still get leaks.

I use the diva cup. I find if it's leaking it's because I don't have the seal right. Have you tried the trick where after you insert it you twist it to make sure it's fully opened?

Postpartum periods - even a year+ out, here - are what nightmares are made of. In my opinion.

I bought a blossom cup (like the diva cup, just cheaper!) and I love it and the idea of it but still get leaks. I can't figure out if maybe I need a different size or I'm just not getting the hang of it correctly.

Do you use one? Which brand?
