From the info I read, it depends on how responsive your body is to the breastfeeding hormones. Looks like I won't get mine till I wean DD, She doesn't show any signs of wanting to wean yet. We have started solids with her, so I hope when it's to wean she'll be able to adjust. I also read that if you cut out some night feedings or go with BF for longer stretches, your period might return sooner. I don't care much for period and not looking to it returning lol but I need to ovulate! Can someone tell me how it feels like while you are still BF and your period returned? I've been EBF my daughter for 8 months now And I love the experience and bonding I have with her (after 4 months of transition from bottle and sore nipples, etc.) My goal is to BF her for a year. My husband and I had plans to have another baby, and wanted them to be a year or two apart. This was all before we knew anything about breastfeeding. We didn't know it was also nature's contraception! How long before your menstrual cycle returned while breastfeeding? </p>
