@LuLu Mom: You're totally right! It sounded like a ton to me until Smurfette pointed out it's only 4 glasses to a bottle! Apparently I was equating it with hard liquor or something!

@Cole: I find it helpful to always have bottles on hand. You never know when you throw a last minute get together with friends/neighbors.

@Cole: HAHA it makes me sound like a party animal, but I figured 2 glasses a person is about 7 1/2 bottles!

@Smurfette: Thanks, the perspective helps, I am not a wine drinker and it's my neighbors and I don't know them well enough to know what they drink so I think you're right on getting more than I need. Eventually someone will drink it or it will make it's way out as a hostess gift so I will buy extra.

@Cole: I would still drink 2-3 glasses (depending on how long I was staying) when nursing. A bottle of wine is like 4 glasses. So if you figure 10 are drinking wine, 2 glasses each, that is 5 bottles. You probably could have less red options since you have the sangria. I just always overbuy, I mean not like it wouldn't get drunk in my house ;)

What do they normally drink?

@LuLu Mom: I forgot about strawberry shortcake! I will definitely add something chocolate to the mix. I totally lol'd at 9 bottles of wine for 15 women on a work night! In suppose that was information with sharing, it sure would be a party to remember!

@travellingbee: thank you! I appreciate the wine help and the trader joes key lime pie is amazing, that might get tossed in the mix, and since they are around the corner it's ideal!

@Mamaof2: Yes! Chocolate! If I do triffles they will be all chocolate, brownies might boot them out of the running though!

@Smurfette: Thanks! The numbers are really helpful, would you still do that much if 4/15 are nursing out pregnant and it's on a Wednesday night? Any thoughts on how many pitchers of sangria (assuming a bottle of wine plus mix in stuff per pitcher?)

@looch: Yum! Mini cheesecakes with oreos sound perfect! Any idea if I can freeze those?

I love the idea of a mini strawberry shortcake, a brownie bite, and/or a mini cheesecake. I think you need some chocolate in there though!

Wine, I'm one to always have too much because I would rather have leftovers than run out, so I would do 6 bottles of white and 3 of red but this is because most of my friends/family drink a sweet white (depends on your guest list I suppose.)

I am never one to refuse any kind of dessert, but I like the idea of mini cheesecakes made in cupcake liners. I've done them with oreos and nilla wafers in the bottom using the recipe inside the Phildadelphia cream cheese box and people go nuts over them.

Brownie bites

I am a firm believer in making sure I don't run out of food/drinks, so I would get 4 bottles of red and 4 of white. I am not a red drinker, but white I would get 2 chardonnay's and 2 Sauvignon Blanc.

@Cole: I'm really bad with predicting wine amounts. But I'd choose just 2 varieties: a crisp white and a full bodied red. Nothing too sweet since you'll have sangria. Maybe a Pino Grigio and a Red Zinfandel or a Malbec.
For dessert, maybe some little tarts or mini-pies? Or I'm pregnant and craving key lime. Trader joes has key lime pie right now.

I am having an after dinner get together and will be serving dessert and I could use a little feedback. It will be around 15 women.

Drinks:
Rose sangria
Sparkling lemonade
Water with lemons
Wine (Help! What kinds? How much?)

Food:
Mini cupcakes: red velvet and yellow cake with buttercream
Zebra cake (the Nabisco wafers and whipped cream one)
Fruit kebabs

I feel like I need one or two more things, I was thinking about mini triffles perhaps? Trader Joe's has amazing salted caramel gelato that someone there suggested serving with iced coffee poured over it. I could do tiny scoops of that and freeze them individually before hand...

I am doing cookies as favors.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
