I like vinegar and baking soda. You can do so much with it!

-Plain vinegar for cleaning glass
-Mix equal parts vinegar, distilled water and baking soda, put in a spray bottle and you have a cleanser. You can also put it in a bottle that makes foam and you have a foaming cleanser.
-pour baking soda straight into the tub and scrub with a brush
-pour vinegar into your fabric softener dispenser, when the laundry is dry, there's no smell
-equal parts vinegar and water in a bucket, add a half cup baking soda, use to mop your floors

You can also get something called "soap nuts" for laundry, I've not tried this, but some moms I know swear by it, esp. for cloth diapering and babies that are prone to diaper rash.

eta: Mrs.Bee's list is fantastic, I agree with almost all of it (except the laundry and dish soap as I have no experience with it).

I love Method products. We use their hand soaps and some of their cleaning products. I have very sensitive skin and like the detergent I use now but I might be brave and try their laundry detergent at some point.

yes i love method products! i've been using their foaming hand soaps for years, and have recently made the switch to their dish soap and laundry detergent. you can read my thoughts about method products and other eco products here:

I use some Method cleaning products in my home. Their Tub and Tile cleaner is the best I've used of the "natural" varieties so far. Spray, let it sit for a bit then everything comes off with a shower brush and minimal elbow grease. I also find that their Daily Shower Spray keeps the yuckies at bay well. I'm contemplating making my own version of it once I run out of our current bottle, though. I also like the Smarty Dish dishwasher tabs for when I can't get my hands on Ecover tabs. I have several coworkers who like those as well.

Everywhere else I use Mrs. Meyers and/or diluted castile soap. I recently switched detergents to Mrs. Jones' Soap Box and am liking it so far. I've been debating trying out her other products or making my own since I actually have a lot of her ingredients leftover from a failed attempt at making my own dishwasher detergent. :-)

My other issue with Method is while they claim to be "natural" they still use parabens and SLS's. Both can irritate skin and are totally not needed to actually clean.

I love their hand soaps, and we try a new scent every time we run out. I try to avoid antibacterial soap, and Method is one of the few companies that make normal soap.

We use their laundry detergent too (Free & Clear) but I don't use their other cleaning products. I've tried them in the past but for cleaning bathrooms and kitchen I've learned that there is nothing like bleach.

I like their laundry detergent. No one in my family has sensitive skin, so we get the peony blossom scent... I love it! sometimes I get their hand soap too. I have bought their baby wash once but I didn't like it because it didn't lather up too well. We prefer Burts Bees, California Baby and Weleda for baby skincare.

For other eco-friendly cleaning products, I've been turning to Biokleen (love Bac-out stain and odor eliminator and Citrus Soy Solvent -- it's all-purpose) and Ecover. I discovered all of these products by reading tons of reviews on Amazon, Drugstore.com, Soap.com.

I started using their laundry detergent (free and clear one) to wash all of baby's clothes before her arrival after ready Mrs. Bee's blog on her favorite cleaning products. Love that it's a squirt bottle and about 1/4 the weight of a Tide bottle even though it's the same number of loads! I also bought their dish soap - it's supposed to have less harmful/artificial ingredients, which is great so I can use it for baby's stuff too.

I use their laundry detergent and it works well (although we haven't had any super dirty laundry loads yet)! It's unscented.

I've been researching natural cleaning products now that we're going to be in the states for awhile and starting ttc. I want to find a brand with less harsh chemicals, perfumes, and dyes.
But I still need them to do a good job, and a nice light natural scent is a plus.

I've been looking into the Method products, and they seem really great! Do any of you use Method cleaning products, and if so what do you think of them? Favorite scents, favorite products?

What about the Method baby products like shampoo and lotion?
