He was 9lbs 5oz at birth and we never had an issue with it being too small. We used an A+A muslin swaddle (target's version). We would also take a receiving blanket, fold it in half twice length-wise, and use it to secure his arms. It ends up being the same idea as the miracle blanket, just a lot cheaper.</p> <p>I really liked how the top of the swaddle was around the top of LO's arms instead of above his shoulders. Instead of a triangle, I always folded ours into a rectangle. I didn't wrap ours around his shoulders either. If you don't use a swaddle blanket, like a SwaddleMe or Miracle, what swaddle method do you go with? </p>
