My elementary school went from pre-k through 8th grade. I went to a middle school which was fine. I feel like 9th graders are too old to be around 7th graders...my sisters went to a junior high and I just thought it was too weird that some of the old 9th graders were driving already.</p> <p>I definitely don't like the idea of no middle school/junior high at all! I had never heard of junior high until I went to college. Middle school for us was grades 6-8. </p> <p>Some friends of ours have kids in school in northern VA and they don't have either. They go to elementary school until 6th grade and then 7th starts high school. I think that must be a tough transition. Especially for the boys. </p>
