I prefer heat to ice. I use a microwave ice pack and put it where it hurts (just not directly on the eyes)

@T.H.O.U.: Do you mean sudafed? Is that safe for pregnancy?

@maddyz: Interesting! If I ever get another I'll have to ask. Luckily I don't have any other kiddos to take care of right now.

I know this is totally not the usual, and I wouldn't do it with out asking your doctor. But I got a few really bad migraines early in my pregnancy and my midwife said 1 ibuprofen was fine before 30 weeks. It saved me. I was solo parenting all weekend with a 14 month old and could not get off the sofa.

@Mrsbells: No. 😕 We are not tea people.

@pwnstar: @avivoca: Brilliant idea on ordering food, actually. I do need to eat something too and I'm def not cooking. Duh, thanks!

@avivoca: I think tension is part of the problem. I just found some lavender oil to rub on my temples.

@pwnstar: I will def take a Benadryl.

@MrsSRS: Drinking a Gatorade now!

Can you order food in and also have a Coke delivered? Also, sometimes yoga helps relieve the tension and gives me some relief. I do easy stuff like child's pose, warrior, anything that helps stretch my muscles. Then I lay down on the floor (corpse?). I tend to get them when I have muscle tension in my shoulders, so maybe try some self massage.

When caffeine didn't work for me, sometimes gatorade did. I think the ordering delivery for a soda idea is brilliant @pwnstar:

I would order a pizza just so I could also have Coke delivered. I would take another Tylenol and a Benadryl or Unisom (with the Coke). I would put an ice pack on the back of my neck, and lay down again and try to concentrate on relaxing my entire body. I'm so sorry. Migraines suck.

I'm just into the 2nd tri and having my first migraine of pregnancy. I had them periodically before pregnancy and usually did Excedrin and Motrin, coffee, etc.

I've taken Tylenol and tried cold compresses on my forehead and behind my neck and I just woke up from a 2 hour nap but none of that helped. I could do a little caffeine but the thought of coffee makes me nauseous and we have no Coke. I don't think I can drive to get any and DH is working till 11. Any suggestions??? I will try anything that's safe!!
