@spaniellove: not that I know of! One really bad migraine that sticks out to me was three years ago and I wasn't even on bcp or anything like that.

@Rachel: Re: triggers, they always come on in the evening or at night. Wearing my hair up is a trigger too, but that's always been a trigger for just headaches too.

@prettylizy: They are. You feel so sick and helpless because there is nothing you can do. I try to sleep but it is so hard. You can't think, talk or function.

Ugh, I don't have a LO, but I feel your pain - migraines are so terrible! Since you can't take the good meds (you're BF, right?) maybe try to pinpoint the triggers? For me it's certain breakfast foods, like OJ or eggs, or skipping my coffee, or big changes in the humidity level.

@spaniellove: I had an occipital nerve stimulator implanted. You just never know..... I heard so many stories on how people had a baby and never had a migraine ever again. I just wasn't one of those people.

@artbee: Just curious, what kind of surgery did you have for your migraines? This is so not what I need; I already have hemiplegic migraines.

I had migraines my whole life but they were never as frequent as after I had LO. As soon as my milk dried up I had them EVERY SINGLE DAY. No joke. I did not go a day without a migraine until I had surgery for it. I still get them.... but wow I don't know how I dealt with a newborn and migraines all the time!

Hope you start feeling better!

Were your migraines before DS hormonal at all? Do you think it's possible that the migraines you're getting now are due to the hormones falling?

I can count on one hand all the migraines I had before having my son. I have had more migraines since having DS than I've had in my whole life.

It's so bad :(. I had one sooo bad the other night and DH was trying to talk to me and I totally snapped at him because I couldn't deal with it. With each one I get SO nauseous too.

Thankfully they've only happened at night, so I don't have to deal with DS and once I get myself to fall asleep, it's better in the morning.

Has anyone else had this happen?
