He has a very mild astigmatism but does not require glasses. The doctor gave us a prescription and said he could wear them at home if we want him to but not required. He has astigmatism in his right eye and required glasses. We are also now patching the left eye two hours a day to strengthen the right eye. It's improving. The doctor said she would like to get him to 20/30. He's currently close to 20/40. I only know about it because I've been wearing contacts since I was 16. It does mean I don't see as sharp as I could, but it's not that big a deal. Her pediatrician referred to opthamologist. I am trying to get an appointment for her. Has anyone dealt with this and are glasses required in all cases?? </p>
