I don't get cramps every time that I ovulate, but some months I do. I definitely had difficult cycles post-mc - some cycles were very very long, some were crampy, it was just a little "all over the place."

I'm not exactly sure when I ovulated, but I around the time that should've been based on my cycle, I'm cramped during and after. They were a strange sort of cramp to me, and actually pretty uncomfortable.

@mrskc: So annoying, right? As if the m/c isn't bad enough then you are faced with wonky cycles?? Mine seemed to regulate each month getting 3 days shorter...by the time I got pregnant I was on track for a 28 day cycle. Hope the same is true for you too!

@winniebee: Thank you! I guess I thought I would just go back to normal. My first cycle post MC was 38 days long, so I don't know why I thought this one would be around 28...

I always get cramps before and after ovulation. Usually they last a couple of days before ovulation and a few days after. Sometimes I get extremely lucky and the cramps don't ever stop from ovulation to my period. :(

@mrskc: Not at all! We had an early miscarriage in May (I was only 6 wks pregnant). My doctor advised to take a cycle off from trying and that was a really long cycle (40 days with suspected ovulation around day 27!) Then, we got pregnant on cycle 3 actively trying (but cycle 4 overall) after the miscarriage. I'm now just over 17 wks pregnant. I'm really sorry for your loss and wish you the best TTC again!

I usually get them day before, day of and day after. They are worse the day after than the day before though. (Also, I'm not pregnant and I'm not sure how typical it is?)

@winniebee: Thanks for the info. I see you're currently pregnant. Do you mind me asking how many cycles it took for you to get pregnant after your MC?

I got ovulation cramps every month - for a few days before ovulation and day of. Day of cramping felt like period cramps to me. The first few cycles after my m/c I had longer cycles (ovulated on day 21, then 18, then 15) so your body just might be trying to regulate a bit. Good luck!!

This is my first cycle trying post MC. I've been trying to figure out when I ovulate. I started taking OPKs starting at cycle day 10. It's now cycle day 16 and still no positive OPK. Yesterday I started getting mild cramps, could this be a sign of ovulation? Do you get them before or after? How many days before you ovulate do the cramps start?
Anyone else experience these ovulation cramps?
