@mamainprogress: Ive heard you can put a light pillow on their back during tummy time so they can't roll over. A Boppy might work well

My little boy has become a pro at rolling back to belly but has only rolled belly to back a few times and at was a few weeks ago. He is 16 weeks. I'm not sure how to help him roll from belly to back either.

My baby is different. She rolls back to belly but not belly to back. She hates being on her belly so she's angry and red by the time we turn her back over from tummy time.LOL (she's 4 months old.)

My LO rolled over belly to back around 3 months. Then nothing happened for awhile. She world try to flip back to belly but got stuck and gave up. One day out of nowhere she made it all the way @ 5 months. Ever since she started that one time, she just kept doing it.

Eli rolled over from belly to back for a few days when he was 3.5 months old... but then suddenly he stopped when he started to roll from back to belly. Now he just rolls from back to belly and it's as if he never did belly to back before!

My LO didn't roll over til she was 6 months, which isn't unusual for chunky babies and LO was CHUNKY, :). She's only 4 months, I would let her figure it out herself on her own time, no need to rush. :)

LO did belly-to-back for three days when she was 3.5 months old and then decided she didn't want to do it anymore and hasn't since (she's 5 months old now). For back-to-belly, she gets well onto her side but her arm gets stuck or she feels it's too much effort so she quits. SIGH. Ah well, she'll figure it out, right?

charlie rolled from belly to back around 4 months, and then back to belly a couple weeks later. it just takes them a little while to figure out, and then once it clicks, they become rolling machines!

you should let her figure it out herself. My LO started flipping from belly to back at around 3.5 months and then back to belly shortly after. Her hand used to prevent her from flipping over at first but she eventually got the hang of it.

My lo easily goes from back to belly since four months (she's 4 1/2 months now) but she's only done belly to back once.

I think you just have to wait it out and let them figure it out for themselves.

Baby Y rolls from belly to back, but I've yet to see him go back to belly all the way (he's almost 6 months). He gets 3/4 of the way and chickens out, basically. But he's never been a huge fan of rolling. He loves to stand and he's scooting backwards and starting to sit, so I'm not worried.

They'll figure it out on their own in good time!

I wanted to see if everyone could chime in on their little ones hitting the milestone for rolling over. I believe the AAP says this should occur between 4 and 7 months.

Our little one could lift her head really high when on her tummy from the beginning so she rolls/flops from belly to back since the first week she was home.

She is now (4 months) trying to roll from back to belly. She will get all the way over on her side but her arm gets stuck underneath her so she rolls back to her back. Any suggestions to help her besides pulling her arm out from under her?
