I only had a few nights that were uncomfortable. My supply didn't completely even out for a couple of weeks, but it wasn't painful for very long.

isn't it frighteningly funny?
I'm glad yours aren't rock hard. Mine were and it freaked me out. Just keep nursing the baby and soon your body will figure out that you haven't given birth to quints. I'd like to say the extremeness only lasted one night.

My first engorgement went away in a day or two. Ice packs and ibuprofen helped.

My supply regulated around 6 weeks I think? Up until then I was super uncomfortable and my boobs looked ridiculously huge. Hang in there--it will get better! The one piece of advice I have is not to pump your boobs to empty when you're uncomfortable and it isn't time for baby to eat--that will signal your body to make more milk and prolong the engorgement period. i would try to hand express some milk or just pump enough to take the edge off. It does get better--I thought my boobs would be painful and huge forever, but they became more normal looking and feeling eventually :)

Yay for your milk coming in! My boobs hurt for a few days and Ameda cooling pads and ice packs helped. Good luck!

How long does it take for supply to regulate? My milk came in and I'm pretty uncomfortable. I don't think I'm engorged (they are supposed to be rock hard then right?) but they look ridiculous, are super full, a little lumpy, and just hurt. It hurts to sleep! Help?
