Right before we took him home from the hospital, it was one of those moments I was sure we weren't ready. The nurse laughed, told me it was ok, sucked out his nose, and we got back to feeding. </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/milk-coming-out-of-nose#post-558453 Sat, 09 Feb 2013 23:38:48 +0000 Kemma 558453@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>My LO used to do this and it's apparently a combo of things according to my midwife and my LC.</p> <p>- Babies only have short nasal tubes so it's only a short trip from the mouth to the nose<br /> - It can be related to fast letdown, baby can't cope with the milk so out the nose it comes!</p> <p>I was told not to worry about it as breastfed babies have a long sucking motion which keeps the nasal passages nice and clear. Milk starting dripping out of her right nostril! It didn't seem to bother her at all ... But its freaking me out. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal?? </p>
