@MrsH: honestly, time. Tons of pumping after feedings. I ended up going on domperidone, but don't think that's what helped the most. As soon as I stopped stressing and trusted my body it was better. But in the midst of it that's the last thing you can do. I'm sorry it's happening to you! Worrying about milk supply is a sucky situation to be in and I hope you see the light soon!!

my milk was not coming in with my first, so my LC put me on this regimen of pumping 15-20 minutes after almost every nursing session. i'm not sure how feasible that is with a toddler running around, but just putting it out there.

also, i have heard anecdotally from a couple of moms that their supply was a lot lower with the second baby, probably due to all the running around/stress of taking care of two. but that was just a couple of moms--i also know plenty of moms who were able to make it work.

@Mrs. Lovejoy: Has your wee babe been checked for tongue / lip ties? How many nursing sessions are you having in 24 hours? What signs of low supply did you have and how many ounces / mL of supplementary milk is your LO getting each day?

Hang in there!

@Mrs. Lovejoy: have they weighed your LO before an after a feed to see how much milk he is getting? Are you basing your low supply off of what you can pump?

Hey mamas. I'm having a pretty hard go at this mom of two thing. Particularly the feeding of our second (born a week ago). The tantrums of our toddler I can handle in a different post :silly: .

My supply is seemingly either low or my milk hasn't come in fully yet. Has anyone else dealt with this with their second or subsequent? I do have milk but it's sooo little. I've been meeting with lactation consultants and trying to work with my OB, but everyone seems stumped. When I pump I barely get a half ounce. We are using an SNS right now with pumped milk and formula when I don't have enough. Baby seems happy, but he did lose a lot right after the hospital (since then he's been gaining ounce a day). My OB prescribed reglan to up my supply, but honestly reading about its side effects online has me pretty apprehensive to take it. I have a consult with an MD who is also a LC next Wednesday (the LCs recommended her). For the meantime I'm taking fennel, fenugreek, mothers milk plus and drinking a gross amount of water. I had my hopes up to get domperidone, but I can't find any reputable places that sell to the US without a prescription. Any thoughts/ideas?
