@hellobeeboston: Glad to hear you are feeling better! I also noticed my dip in supply when I started feeling better too.

Keep doing what your doing and give it a few days for your supply to catch back up. I would just nurse on demand and not pump extra right now. Anything you can you want to give to your baby and the baby will stimulate more milk production better than a pump will.

@BabyBoecksMom: NO! I didn't take anything because I was worried about my supply! Probably why I felt more awful than normal!

Thank you!

I think you are doing everything right and your milk will come back in no time. Make sure you're eating plenty of calories too!

Are you taking any decongestants? Those will dry you out a bit. Do you have any More Milk Plus that you can take to up your supply?

The only advice I can give is to drink tons of water and give it some time to let your supply regulate again. As you baby continues to nurse frequently, your body will up the supply to meet his demand.

Hope you get over your cold soon!

@purkle: omg!! Ok... Thanks so much. I would be OK supplementing with formula if we have to, I just want my milk to come back in!! Glad yours did, even if it took a while, I will keep that in mind.

Hey, first of all- glad you're feeling better! The same thing happened to me except I was only sick for 2-3 days and only the supply in one boob dropped considerably! I only pump so I think that was the reason why it took me a little longer to get my supply back up but it took two long weeks for it to do it. I had to supplement with formula and went through all my frozen stash! I just drank tons of water and tried to not stress about it because the stress was making it worse!
So, I guess i'm not much help here but wanted to say it gets better and good luck!

I am just getting over 5/6 days of either the worst cold of my life or the flu. Yikes!! Starting to feel better now... I noticed when I was sick I thought my supply dipped a little, and now yesterday since I really feel like most of the mucus had left my head (and moved to my chest) it has really dropped! Yikes!!

It was bad last night and I nursed as long as I could but could tell he was frustrated and hungry - so I got the measly 2oz I had pumped yesterday morning and gave him that too. He still woke up earlier than normal starving.

So.... Anyone ha this happen? What can I do?

I am trying to drink a ton. Eating oatmeal. Nursing him as often as possible - almost every hour and a half yesterday. And I usually just pump once in the morning (4-5oz) but should I pump more??

Thanks!!!!! I hope none of you or your LOs get that nasty sickness!
