Brewers yeast is supposed to help! I had trouble with my supply in the beginning and I am taking fenugreek & blessed thistle. I made some lactation cookies too (they have brewers yeast in them), but they upset one of my twin's tummies so I had to stop eating them. You can buy it as a pill too.

Try nursing at night when he's mostly asleep. It's hard to bite when you can't keep your eyes open.

That stinks! I wouldn't lose hope yet, supply issues with older infants are often more easily resolved than early issues because of the prolactin triggers laid in those first few weeks. Maybe try adding oatmeal to your diet? Or some mothers milk tea? Lactation cookies?..... just throwing stuff out there.

Maybe try upping times that he would comfort nurse? When he wouldn't be expecting to nurse so much for "food" persay, but like going down for naps/bed and or dream feeds?

Some of our best nursing times when P gets on strikes are RIGHT when she wakes from a nap, like just beginning to stir and is still groggy & asleep almost. She protests the least then and just goes with it, even when I've had some serious dips in my supply, like the week I had strep & barely ate or drank anything.

You do sound like you're doing a great job & really all you can do! Hope the Motilium helps!

In Canada you can get Domperidone (the Motilium) so you are so lucky, because it works really well.

Fingers crossed that it works for you!

I had a few bouts where supply dropped due to various things- illness, stress, etc. I found though that if I drank lots of water and just kept at it, after a few days my supply would recover. Good luck!

My supply tanked at 6 and 9 months due to illness, biting, and other things... I just kept on going though because she refused bottles and formula, so I had no choice! Supply did go back up, but it took a while and lots of persistence. Good luck!

My milk supply has tanked ... between being sick for 3 weeks, the travel, the emotional toll of my grandpa dying and travelling for his funeral, and Sawyer's biting I have lost most of my supply.

The frustration makes Sawyer's biting so much worse. I have been taking fenugreek, and bought some blessed thistle today, I am pumping but I feel like our nursing relationship might be ending :( I am going to call my doctor monday and hopefully get some motilium, but I read that it isn't very effective in later nursing. I am so sad.

I am also worried because my freezer stash is almost gone, and Sawyer won't drink formula. i don't know what else to do. I have tried the "nursing vacation" but he gets frustrated so he uses me as a chew toy, and my nipples are all covered in scabs.
