@swedishfish: I could go tonight and take a photo for you but I don't think it'll be the same. McDonald's M&M Mcflurry isn't bad. Always a plan B!

@ladybee: I am sure you will take him to DQ one day and get him an M&M blizzard (because I desperately want one and there's no DQ close by)!

@Mrs. Coral: thank you for that. I think that is every moms fear about things that are out of the norm. I don't want him to feel like he's missing out and in my irrational fear I don't think about all the great options like popsicles that he can have.

@LadyBee: I was a milk protein allergy baby (drank soy formula), didn't outgrow it until I was in late middle school. I hope this won't be the case for your kiddo, but I did survive. I had to stick to fruit Popsicle type treats when the other kids got ice cream.

I so hope your LO outgrows it much sooner, but just wanted you to know that I didn't feel left out as a kid.

We were able to transition to hemp and coconut milk, but now we're back to toddler formula after she started rejecting those. She doesn't drink a lot of it, though. So keep in mind that you won't be using quite as much formula even if you stick with it into toddlerhood. LO will be eating more food and getting the necessary nutrients that way.

@swedishfish: I went to get ice cream last night and thought, "how sad will it be if he can't go to DQ with his baseball team one day?" Mommy sadness!

@swedishfish: good to know! M was throwing up any formula that wasn't Neocate. He did so well on soy formula from 1-3 months and then BAM constant vomit. I'm hoping he's more tolerant to soy and will at least be able to have that.

@swedishfish: was she intolerant to milk in the past? I'm sooo praying that one day he can tolerate soy and milk.

We are in the process of moving R to whole milk. She just turned 12 months this week. We are mixing it with formula right now to see how things go. She's done fine with yogurt and cheese.

M is 8.5 months old and getting between 28-30 oz of Neocate a day. Well, that's $160 a week and we are far from rich.

If your little one had a milk allergy or MSPI when did you start transition to milk? Did you do almond milk? M is allergic to soy too. Did you still try cows milk or soy milk?

We see our GI in August. I know I can ask then but I feel like such an a-hole when I'm all, "hey lady, can't afford this shit. Let's try milk! Maybe he will be fine!"
