I've been on it since 6 weeks pp, and am now 18 weeks pp- with no problems at all. I am EBF, so no period yet, I feel completely normal, and haven't had any changes in milk supply. I did have a tiny bit of bleeding the first few days, but nothing since.

I hated how I felt on my old pills before getting pregnant, but I really like these and wish I could stay on them for long term. I set my cell phone to go off every evening so I remember to take them in a timely manner.

I've been on the minipill since 4 weeks PP, making this my second pack and I'm almost finished it. Haven't had any problems, I did notice a VERY SLIGHT decline in milk, maybe a half an ounce or an ounce when I pump?? BUT, I also started back to work last month and I think that has to do with it as well.

No crazy emotions or periods... yet. :)

My LO is enough to remind me to take my pill every day and I set 2 alarms on my cell to alert me when to take it (lunchtime!)

The absolute worst, Periods were all over the place and I have always been an every 28 day kinda girl. You have to take it at the exact same time every day or you'll more than like experience break through bleeding. I found that I was a little more emotional, too.
I also got pregnant on it, not a biggie for DH and I since it is only a month or two earlier than when we planned on tryng for #2, but I won't be using the mini pill again.

I have two friends who got pregnant while on the mini-pill. I would not have been responsible enough with a newborn/young infant to take it the same time every day.

I was on the mini pill for 6 months pp then switched to regular BCP. I had no problems at all. I was nursing twins and I had enough milk to feed them except for one bottle if formula a day. I don't think that was because of the pill. My twins just nursed all morning long. At about noon I just wouldn't have anything.

At six months my dr told me to change it to the regular because once they start solids the change is enough to make the mini pill ineffective.

I hate the mini-pill. My main complaint is that my periods have been really wacky -- in the past 6 months I've gotten 2.5 periods, and actually worried I was pregnant for a while because of that. (I'm definitely not preggo, and my doctor's office said wonky periods are par for the course if you're a) breastfeeding and/or b) on the minipill.)

The other problem is that you have to take it the same time every day -- so it's really easy to screw it up and have it stop working... so combined with the "no period" thing you won't know you're pregnant until you start feeling the pregnancy.

I would wait for the 12 weeks pp mark and do the other one and just use condoms in the meantime.

What is your opinion of it? I go for my 6 week pp check tomorrow, and was planning on the mirena, but come to find out my OB won't do that until 12 weeks pp. Soooo, I'm breastfeeding so I was thinking of trying the mini pill until I could do the mirena. Does it effect milk supply? And did it make you moody or emotional? I was on BCP before TTC and it made me a crazy lady! I really don't want to feel like that again! Overall, what was your experience with it? Thanks!
