This happened to me when I was pregnant with #1. The ice machine at a motel shocked me when I pushed the button for ice while standing barefoot in some water  .

Everything was fine! It was scary, though. I hope everything is fine for you, too!

This happened to me at work (electronics store, I was changing out speaker displays), I believe it was late in my second trimester/early in the third, and everything was absolutely fine. But glad they're having you go in so you can have any worries eased!

Thanks guys. She just got back to me, and I'm on my way to the hospital as a precaution. I've felt her move a couple times so I'm hoping everything is okay. I feel like a complete idiot right now.

Typically the voltage you are going to get from a household thing like that is not dangerous, but I'm unsure how it could affect an unborn baby... I hope the nurse gets back to you soon.

Okay so this might be a long shot but I'm sitting here waiting for the triage nurse to call back and getting increasingly worried.

This morning I was changing out a light fixture in the house and apparently turned off the wrong breaker. I grabbed the grounding wire and shocked my hand pretty intensely. I feel fine- my hands a little tingly but it didn't knock me over or anything, just scared me half to death.
My concern is I'm 29w+5 and I have no clue if I could've accidentally hurt the baby. I have felt her move since, but she's mostly active at night so that's not really atypical. I called the doctor but haven't gotten a response back, so now I'm kind of freaking out.

Anyone had something like this happen? Any one know how concerned I should be?
