About 4 hours later, I began bleeding. I went on to my appointment and was told I was spotting due to the softening of my cervix. I am NOT spotting. I'm having what looks like a full period. My last period was 5/5/18 but very light. That's unusual because they are very heavy normally. I chalked it up to the fact that we're at Disney world walking a ton and even told my husband how excersize must really help because it was so light. Can anyone tell me if the experienced bleeding following the insertion of the pill? I'm on my second Mirena. First was before childbirth, and while it hurt like a mother, I still wouldn't have taken anything besides Advil. The second one hurt for a split second too. Even with that it was incredibly painful. I had a second Mirena placed at 3 mos PP and same OB didn't suggest anything. However some will prescribe it for all who have not had vaginal deliveries. I didn't take anything, and they couldn't get it in. They wrote me a prescription for that and told me to come back and they'd try again ( a few weeks later.) So I took it, went back and they still couldn't get in. I didn't take anything prior and it was totally fine. A couple cramps when they measured me and then inserted it and then I was good to go! I had Mirena before LO2 and didn't take this. Insertion was kind of a bad cramp/pinch for like a second then some light cramping/spotting for a couple of days. It was really no big deal. I go to a different doctor and she said she prescribes misoprostol to take four hours before any IUD insertion. I looked this up and it seems totally mixed on if it's necessary and any side effects either way. I'm thinking of not taking it since I've had two babies, my experience was fine last time, and I'm having my period so I thought that made it easier anyway? Any experiences/info is appreciated! I go tomorrow so I'll need to decide soon! </p>
