I think it is awesome to have the place to myself, watch whatever I want on TV, get up and go to bed whenever I want, eat whatever I want, even if it isn't full proper meals. Before we had kids I HATED to be away from Rob Sr. for even a day. It would have to be a REALLY huge circumstance to keep him away from me for a night. He once went to Indianapolis for a week for business and I spent YEARS regretting not going with him. We weren't even pregnant yet at that point!! And he ended up getting upgraded to an amazing suite. Boo. </p> <p>Once we had RJ, I didn't want Rob Sr. away from me because I wanted his support with the baby. Now that RJ is older, when we have to be away from each other, I don't mind nearly as much. He's got a conference this week (starting tomorrow!) but it's in Boston, so he's going to stay in the hotel Sunday night since there's a welcome reception that night, but I'm hoping he'll come home at night for the rest of the week since the days end at 5pm each day.</p> <p>ETA: I forgot to mention the best part of this week-- my MIL is coming on Thursday to watch RJ, and on Friday we're leaving for my dream-- a SPA WEEKEND in Newport, RI! We're staying 2 nights and each getting 3 spa treatments on Saturday. Both our birthdays are in February, so this is a joint birthday/Valentines gift for both of us. We NEVER do anything like this, but it's been a really tough year so far for both of us for work and RJ entering his terrible twos. WOOHOO!!!
