I had a natural miscarriage around 10 weeks (the baby had stopped growing at 6) and I bled on and off for more than 3 weeks. A couple weeks after it stopped AF returned and my cycle was normal after that. I read that some women are more fertile the three months after a miscarriage and we tried again 3 cycles later and I got a BFP (but then had a chemical pregnancy). It was 8 weeks of on and off bleeding, and 8 weeks before my betas went back to 0. DH and I decided to wait for things to happen naturally, which happened two weeks later. I bled heavily for two days, then spotted for three weeks. I haven't had any spotting for 4 days now (finally!) but still got betas of 170 last Thursday (the first day of no spotting). My midwife said this is normal, and that by the end of this week things should have returned to normal or be really darn close. </p> <p>I'm having a super grumbly tummy tonight, and am thinking it might be the last of the pregnancy hormones rumbling around in there and making their way out. (Very scientific, I know.) </p> <p>So, just to get a feel for what to expect, even though I know we're all different...</p> <p>If you had a missed miscarriage, how long did you bleed afterwards? How long did it take for you to ovulate/get a period again? (If you have a positive BFP story afterwards, feel free to throw that in, too. :happy: )</p> <p>Thanks in advance.
