@pachamama: PAlpitstions and fatigue we’re the biggest ones. I’ve dealt with palpitations in the past, but they’d go away after a few days. They stuck around when my thyroid was off

@MaryM: interesting, my mom has pretty bad hyperthyroidism but that was the only thing with my infertility work up (3 years ago) that was perfectly normal! I will look into this. What were your symptoms? I've definitely had palpitations but again it's probably stress

@Shantuck: haha I was actually taking Co Q 10, the high potency kind 300mg a day... and I thought I might have thrown my cycles off. So I stopped it... But I was taking it when I miraculously got pregnant the first time so who knows!

Progesterone wouldn't cause a "false" period. But, you get your period when progesterone drops...so if you have super low progesterone without supplements, you might not experience that drop so your cycle may not reset.

Another possibility, have you had your thyroid checked? After my last loss at 13 weeks, mine went really haywire. If your thyroid is off it could be affecting your hormones. It was a few months before I started feeling symptoms of it being off (palpitations, tiredness, etc), but sure enough, it was way out of whack and I needed thyroid meds to be completely changed.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've had a few losses and I know it can take time for your cycle to normalize. After my first loss, I took DHEA out of desperation to get pregnant (I also have DOR) and I think it really threw my body out of whack and made things take a lot longer to regulate. I don't have much experience with progesterone but are you taking anything else that could be contributing to this? Also, this is not what you asked at all, but do you by chance take ubiquinol/CoQ10? I'm convinced that taking ubiquinol helped me get pregnant despite my DOR 3 times (though 2 resulted in losses - but one resulted in my daughter). Just something to consider... See here for more info and dosage: http://www.paleo-mama.com/which-coq10-is-best-for-fertility-ubiquinol-or-ubiquinone/.

@bhbee: I was always regular until the d&c, tho spotting from stress when I was TTC. My periods were mostly heavy, one light after d&c. I have no idea if I really ovulated, one month I had terrible ovulation pain and I was so excited.
Last night I spotted, like a drop. So let's hope it turns into a period.
The other OB in the branch office didn't even return my call. Nice.

I told my husband I will TTC for 6 more months and then I'm giving up. It is absolute torture and the stress and pressure often ruin my days.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Everything is so hard post d&c. It took me about 7m to get pregnant again. No great ideas but some thoughts - Were your periods regular before? Like did you ever have long or anovulatory cycles? Are you sure you ovulated this time? That would be my guess but i don’t have enough progesterone experience to know whether it would induce bleeding without ovulating. How heavy were the periods before this last one? Really light could indicate that i guess ... most people I’ve heard from (including myself) seems like early periods post d&c were heavier than normal ... kind of like postpartum.

I do think it’s normal for things to take a while to go back to your own normal but it does seem like a long time frame. If you’re not temping to confirm o my guess is it didn’t happen this time and you could always ask for provera to reset if you go another 2 weeks with no Af. I hope things get better soon!! Hugs

I have a pretty complicated question. I have an appt with my OB in 2 weeks but I'm looking for other perspectives as my practice isn't much help. I don't know who to ask anymore.
I had a D&C in August. Baby passed at 8w, I found out at 13week NT scan. Everything seemed fine after d&c, no infection symptoms and a period 30 days after.
As I am desperate to get pregnant, I started taking 200mg Rx progesterone suppositories 4 days post O. I have extremely low progesterone probably due to stress and I think it helped me get pregnant with my first son who is 2.. OPKs did indicate possible ovulation but I was all over the place with O. For 3 months I got BFN so I'd stop taking progesterone and it would trigger a period 2 days later.
This month I did not use the progesterone because I had some really heavy bleeding and serious internal swelling it felt like and I wanted to see what my real cycle was like... And now I am 12 days late for my period and BFN. I'm thinking that the progesterone just caused false periods and maybe something is really wrong with my cycles.
Is it normal to be this irregular 5 months post D&C? Could progesterone have triggered a fake period?
I am 34 with history of infertility, low progesterone, low egg count, you name it. I did get pregnant naturally twice though.

TlDr: was taking Progesterone in an attempt to get pregnant post D&C and since stopping progesterone I haven't gotten my period.

Anything you have to add will help :-(
