The xray is safe now. It's such a small amount of radiation that it isn't harmful. It may be angled, but that is more rare for a primary tooth. The xray should let you see that. Don't worry!</p> <p>Lateral incisors are one of the most common missing or malformed teeth in the mouth. A pediatric dentist should be able to snap a quick xray to see if the primary tooth is there. He got the rest of his incisors about 6 months ago, all at once. I am starting to wonder if he just doesnt have one. My understanding is that if they dont have a baby tooth then the permanent one cant develop either. </p> <p>Anyone have experience with this? Should i take him to a pediatric dentist?
