I always mixed several sessions worth and then poured it out into the correct proportions.

10 ounces from one boob?!?!? Holy cow!!!!!!

I'd mix to redistribute the foremilk and hindmilk.

Thanks, everyone! I think I'll mix them from now on when I get the mind to. I'm pretty lazy, too :P

@beaker: An expert opinion! ;)

An LC actually told me you get higher average calories if you mix a whole days worth (like in a pitcher or something) and then portion it out... Although I don't do that I'm totally fine with mixing them from different boobs/pumping sessions.

When that happens to me, I mix them so that one isn't mostly foremilk. Makes sense to me! ;)

I would probably just leave them as is, but I'm sure it's fine to mix them.

And 10 ounces?! Congrats!!!

So when I pump I usually get maybe like 3 oz out of the right and not even an ounce out of the left. My boobs are seriously disproportionate at this point :P I use to get more, but at around 6 months this is where I am anymore. But I'm at work tonight and just pumped and got 10 freaking ounces out of one boob. I am over the moon.

The pump I use only holds 5 ounces at a time, which is what LO usually eats at a time. So I have two freezer bags of 5 ounces each ready to go home with me. The first one is pretty clear and watery, while the other is "creamier" looking. I guess this would be the whole foremilk vs. hindmilk?

LO only takes one bottle while I'm working, so when he drinks this he'll have one of the bags one night and the other later in the week. So should I mix them up then reseperate them so there's an even balance of foremilk and hindmilk? Does that make sense? :P
