AH! I looked for a post like this and couldn't find it; so I started a new one! Glad to see good reviews of Ktan, since I think I'm leaning that way. I can't decide between a S/XS, though; I'm 5'7"/5'8" and was a 2/4 pre-preg, and I'm always in between sizes. I don't know if the XS might be too short/tight.

I have a Moby and I don't find it bulky or difficult at all. It's really not that hard. I love it and so does LO. Its a lifesaver in the grocery store because even if she' fussy and hungry, she'll sleep in it.

@regberadaisy: I think it's pretty breathable. I'm in south Texas where it's already in the 90s & DD sweats more in her caraway than the wrap. I'm also 5'5 and was a 7/8 pre preg & wear a small k'tan. I would probably get a xsmall with your stats... It says that if you are between sizes to go a size down. :)

@Zuzu2and11: thank you! That was super helpful! I think I might go with a S then if I buy it. I'm 5'5" but more like a 4/6 PRE pregnancy! :)

I have the Baby K'tan, and I really like it. It is super easy to use. As PPs have said, I don't have to worry about the long piece of fabric dragging. Last week, I went on a walk with my friend who has a Moby, and she said she struggles with putting her daughter in it, and even asked, "Does she look like she is in it correctly?" I personally though have never used a Moby, so I can't give my own feedback on it.

Now, my baby was not one to like being contained in any form whether it be a carseat or a wrap! So as a newborn, I would only use it when he was napping...boy, could he take a nice, long nap in it! I would use the hug position for that. I used it every day so I could take a stab at my to do list or go on a walk. Now that he is older (4.5 months), he loves the adventure (facing out) position and hip position so I don't have to be tied to just his naps. I should try some of the other positions.

I am 5'6" and a size 0 or 2 so I went with the XS. It is definitely snug after a wash, but after a few wears it is the correct size for us. I am a bit concerned about the summer though since I purchased a black one, and the fabric is pretty thick.

Hope this helps!

@sorrycharlie: you're my size and I researched the sizes of the K-Tan. It does sound like the small would fit women our size.

I haven't used it yet, but I was going between both Moby and K'Tan as well. I found a Mom trying to sell both - she said she purchased both but found the K'Tan much easier to use. She said Moby was too hot and too much fabric. Her example was at the parking lot of a store, trying to not let the Moby fabric touch the ground while finagling baby into it - but, I can't speak for myself yet, as I haven't used it! :)

I'm 5'6.5" and about a size 8/M pre-preg, and the woman said that would work for a size S k'tan. there is sizing on their website I believe!

I really wanted the K'tan because it looks way easier but someone bought me the moby so I am just going to go ahead and use it.

@runsyellowlites: how's the breathability of the K'Tan when you're out and about? Baby is really sweaty! Even now in high 70s she's sweating when I'm rocking her to sleep.

For those of you with the K'Tan would you mind sharing your height and sizing vs what size K'Tan you went with?
My husband might want to use the carrier when we're home so if that's the case we wouldn't be able to get the K'Tan...we're very different body types!

I don't have either but a friend of mine uses hers frequently with her 8 month old. I have another friend that went out and bought fabric and made her own moby. She chose a much thinner fabric and I don't think she had to do anything special to it.

I have the K'Tan as well & really like it. I've haven't quite gotten bf'ing in it easily, but I've only used it once at home & once out & about when nursing. For just wearing DD... She LOVES IT!
I considered getting a moby but they're just too much fabric for done here in south Texas.

I got the Baby K'Tan and I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Its really easy to use (its basically two circle pieces of fabric binded together to resemble the number 8) and I like that it has a number of different wearable options depending on your preference and babys size. Its nice that I can put Caroline in without any help...some slings look a little intimidating and I really worried that I wouldnt be able to to juggle putting the sling on AND getting baby in! Plus I got it for over 50% off so that definitely helped make my mind up!

ETA-I got the Baby K'Tan Breeze, which is cotton and a mesh fabric, so its very lightweight and breathable, which is a must for me, since I'm in Atlanta!

Thinking about investing in one so I can actually get things done! Especially when my mom goes home I'll never eat dinner on nights when my husband works late!

So do you have either!? Pros and cons?

Breath ability? Usability? Was it harder once they're not a newborn?

The K'Tan has different sizes so what size do you have vs your sizing?

Thanks!
