@Foodnerd81: yes my lo goes after his ears when a tooth is cutting and I've espescially noticed this when the molars are cutting! At first I thought it was a ear infection but it was definately just from cutting those molars!

Yep, DD actually made one ear bleed from scratching/clawing at it and I was kind of freaking out because she had just gotten tubes and I was afraid one might have slipped out or something -- but then both molars on that side popped through within a couple days.

Glad to hear it happens. She's got all the teething signs- doing weird things with her tongue, chomping on things, whining for no reason. So I figured that's all it was.

My LO is teething and sometimes pulls at his ears. He has tubes and I haven't noticed any drainage so I'm just assuming they are working and that he's feeling pressure or something from the teeth coming in. Hope I'm not wrong!

Has anyone noticed their LO rubbing or scratching their ears when their molars are coming in? C is definitely getting the 2 year molars (I can feel one bump, plus she's had some awfully crabby nights). She's also been occasionally tugging on her ears or scratching them. One day I got her to let me just look at them and she took my finger and tried to put it in her ear.

No fever and she isn't nearly as cranky as she has been with an ear infection, so I'm thinking she is healthy and maybe it's just all connected, the way your ears itch when your throat does?
