@avivoca: yes- super annoying! Not to mention I also have the older UB vista so already it's harder to find pieces for it. Poor baby is just getting outdated everything...

@Foodnerd81: I do get it. We bought the click connect version and every adapter out there for my BOB only worked with the classic connect version.

Total bummer. I think I'd buy a new seat, but I hope it cleans well if you'd rather not!

@avivoca: the adapter only works for the "classic connect" and most (not all) of the new ones are "click connect". Not a huge deal but very annoying for something you use for such a short time.

@LuLu Mom: the replacement harness (straps, buckle) are only $17 shipped. Replacement seat cover isn't available but that part isn't too bad and I'm about to wash it now. Hoping it comes out perfect. If not I might ask around to see if I can borrow one before buying a brand new one.,,

In this situation, i would buy a new one. You can still find a Snugride 22 that would work for the stroller and i would think by the time you replace it all it would be close to the same cost as a new one on sale.

My seat had some mold/mildew on it (just the cover) so I called manufacturer and they are sending a new cover (it's the 2012 model and $50 for replacement rather than buying a new one). I would call and if they can't send new straps buy a new one...

I would just get a new one. The straps would have to be replaced, they can't be cleaned well enough to get mold out and still be "safe". I have treys to get mildew out of a shirt I let sit that was wet and a blanket and nothing I tried could get it out.

I'd buy a new one. I think the stroller adapters work for all the Gracos, but I'm not sure. If you do get a new one, I'd definitely go with one with a higher weight limit than the 22.

Also even if I can get replacement soft parts (cover, straps) do you think this is an indication that the plastic of the seat is compromised? It expires in a year.

We just got our car seat out of storage (grandmas basement) and it's got mold. The seat cover I can wash, but there are mold spots all over the straps too.

What would you do? I can see about ordering new straps, but it's an older model (graco snug ride classic connect, with a 22 lb limit) so I'm not sure if I can still get them. This is our last baby and I already have the stroller adapter for it, so I'd rather not buy a new one... But I also won't compromise a newborn's health and safety over the cost of a car seat, of course.

Ugh. I knew we should have gotten it out of storage sooner to check for this kind of thing. Baby is due in less than 5 weeks!
