However, even if she doesn't accept, I would discuss an amount that you could provide just to cover the cost of things she will need to watch your child. So, it works out perfectly because now she wants to provide the childcare for our baby (when he/she comes). She is beyond excited and I am elated to have someone I trust so much caring for our child.</p> <p>My question is, how do I bring up the subject of money? I don't even know what the going rate for childcare is. I know she would do it for free, and is genuinely happy to just be able to spend the time with her grandchild, but I feel like that would be taking advantage.</p> <p>How would you all handle this? </p>
