I think the one you posted or any of the short angled cuts would be great for moms. I've always had short hair but now that I'm a mom, I stopped getting super-short haircuts because they require hair appts that I don't have time for. However, I LOVE the a-lines/angled cuts because:

1) it's stylish when you actually put effort into styling it (and it pretty much styles itself if cut right)
2) looks good just tucked behind your ears when you don't have time
3) it's higher in the back so you don't have the weight of hair settling on your neck (I hate that!)
and 4) you can let it grow a couple of inches (if necessary) and it'll still look good.

Here are some examples, I like Kelly Clarkson's the best :)

Ooo I love that. It took me a while to do the "chop" actually waiting till last month (so clearly not "after baby" )

I opted for a shorter style seeing my hair long looked so drabby.

My hair's straight and super long. I usually have it in a pony tail--keeps it outta my face, outta my baby's hands and prevents hair from getting on the floor :)
I have an appointment this Saturday to get my hair cut. Probably going to cut off a few inches and get some layers.

What is a digital perm? The last perm I ever had was when I was turning 13 and the lady cut my hair before perming it. I looked like a poodle straight from the salon. That thing was so tight, I washed it three times, 3 days in a row and it didn't even phase it. Happy 13th birthday!! Haha.

I hate my hair. It's thin and has an awkward limp wave to it if I don't blow dry it. I don't like how it looks when it's straightened by the stylists at the salon. I think before the baby comes, I'll chop it up to just above my shoulders to make it easier and quicker to blow dry.

I just got a digiperm (2 months postpartum and absolutely loved it! I've always had long straight hair and was reluctant to get a perm because I don't know if I will like my hair curly. It is so low maintenance and soo easy to look like you put a lot of effort making your hair look nice.. but in reality I don't even blow it! And it looks really nice when you just tie it on the side as well ;) highly recommended for busy moms =D

@rubies- don't worry about hair loss.. I didn't notice any difference (yet) :)

Excellent question! I need something that looks good when air dried. I pretty much wash my hair at night and let it dry overnight. If I need to I can use the flat iron on it in the morning, but that's pretty rare. I was thinking of getting bangs, but thanks to my post partum hair loss and wacky regrowth, I have to give that up for the moment.

Love the picture you posted Mrs. Bee! But.... if you don't have fine hair, this hair style may require some more maintenance such as using a straightener to achieve this style (or you could go and get one of those japanese straight perms). For someone with thicker hair, I cut my hair short like this a year ago and had to use a straighter on a regular basis....~15 extra minutes added

My daughter is 3 months old and I just got my post baby chop last weekend. I actually feel more energized now. My hair got quite long because the last time I had it cut was a year ago before I got pregnant. I wanted to wait longer so I can donate it but I just couldn't take it anymore. I was putting my hair in a ponytail everyday since my baby was born because she was getting hold of my hair and pulling since day one. After a while I was just feeling very frumpy mom. Also I lost my hair very badly with my son and putting my hair up showed all the parts where hair was thinning out. I didn't want to go through that again as I am starting to enter the postpartum hair loss phase. I got a bob shorter than the one in your picture but long enough that I can still put up in a tiny ponytail. Pretty easy to upkeep.

I did a post-baby chop at 9 months...but not necessarily by choice. Yes my son was always pulling my hair if it was down, but I mostly wore it back. What pushed me to cut it was that the ends were just so damaged that I couldn't brush it without losing a ton of hair. Now, I can brush my hair and not get it tangled....it's hair, it'll grow back thankfully.

Mrs. Bee, I was JUST thinking about this today! My problem is that I always put my hair in a ponytail because it's just easier but I need to feel more human again and want to indulge in a proper hair cut or digiperm. My only concern is that at 3months post partum, I'm wondering about the mega hair loss I'm sort of expecting. Should I wait for my hair to fall out and then get an awesome haircut? BTW, I LOVE the long bob! I want one, but my hair is SO thick that it couldn't lay straight and beautiful. I'm thinking perm OR a shorter, thinned out, lotsa layers bob.

I did a postwedding chop and ultimately hated it because it was cut too short in a style that wasn't easy to maintain. I'm in desperate want of a post baby chop...Just have to decide what.

If YOU decide, let us know, so that I can just copy you. ;)

I need a more mom friendly hairstyle. I have bangs right now which I like because it makes you look like you have some sort of hairstyle even when your hair is up. But they're always in my face so I wear headbands and am going to grow them out.

I was considering getting a digital perm because I don't have time to blow dry my hair straight like I used to. Or perhaps a long bob like this?

http://short-bobhairstyles.com/long-bob-hairstyle-gwyneth-paltrow.html/gwyneth-paltrow-hairstyle-bob-2

I need something that's low maintenance.

Many women do a post wedding chop. Are you going to do a post baby chop? Do you have mom friendly hair?
